What is EV2?

EV2 is a fast paced, action based multiplayer open world, looter-shooter set in a sci-fi frontier where cutting-edge technology meets the remnants of an ancient civilization. Defend humanity against a relentless global infestation of the Hive. EV2 features both PvE and PvP elements

EV2 is a massive multiplayer project being developed by Frozen Dawn Entertainment on the Funtico platform.

My Involvement:

I worked on EV2 over the course of a 5 month long contract with primary focus on:

• Consulting
• Debugging
• Dev work consisting of many aspects, such as:
– Improvements to Match-Making, and dynamic cloud server setups
– PlayFab based stat tracking and player rewards system
– Implement and Integrate modular component based weapon system
– Developed PvP match progression and control systems
– Designed and developed material layering system for character and weapon customization that allowed masked layers in Unreal’s material layering system to be customized at runtime with no need for shader re-compilation similar to the material customization system in Anthem
